Jason B. Kelley, B.A., J.D.
Jason Kelley is the Staff Attorney and City Prosecutor for the City of Bella Vista. Jason has been an attorney for nearly twenty years, having spent the majority of his career in public service. He has served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Nineteenth Judicial District-West (Benton County), Deputy City Attorney of Rogers, City Attorney of Elm Springs, Assistant City Attorney of Fayetteville, and a prior stint as the first City Attorney of Bella Vista.
As a prosecutor, Jason has handled thousands of misdemeanor and traffic cases during his career, including cases of domestic violence, animal abuse, drug possession, and driving while intoxicated. As part of his work in representing cities, he has been involved in numerous matters involving eminent domain, constitutional rights, employment discrimination, and land use.
Jason is a native of Jefferson County, Arkansas where he graduated from White Hall High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. While a law student, he interned for Judge Morris S. Arnold of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Kelley has previously served as a Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court, a Special Judge in the Bentonville District Court and a Special Prosecuting Attorney in Washington County, Arkansas. He is a past president of the Benton County Bar Association and a tenured delegate to the Arkansas Bar Association House of Delegates. He is licensed to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Ninth Circuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the Arkansas Supreme Court, and all other courts of the state.
Jason has been a long-time resident and property owner in Bella Vista.
